Beehive PR Named Among “Best Places to Work” in Twin Cities

St. Paul, Minn. - Beehive PR has been named one of the Best Places to Work in the Twin Cities for 2007. Winners were announced Friday and were chosen based on an employee survey conducted by Quantum Market Research and sponsored by the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal. Beehive ranked fifth out of 20 small businesses named to the annual list.
“Beehive has a successful approach to blending personal and professional lives because we’ve worked as a team to identify what’s important in a great place to work,” said Lisa Hannum, Beehive PR president and CEO. “Since employees are involved at every step, our culture, systems, technology, benefits and on-site amenities create real value in their lives.”
Beehive PR earned the honor by scoring 96.7 out of 100 on the Best Places to Work employee survey. Employees from more than 200 nominated companies completed the survey, which evaluated workplaces on topics ranging from work environment to personal growth and development. Forty-five companies were named to the list in three categories: small companies with 10 to 100 employees; medium-sized companies with 101 to 1,000 employees; and large companies with more than 1,001 employees.
“It’s fulfilling to work for a company that values its employees and authentically supports work-life balance and flexibility,” said Jessica Zittlow, Beehive PR account supervisor. “I think our high level of client satisfaction shows that happy employees are much better at their jobs.”
All Beehive employees have the option to work flexible schedules from any location. Despite its small size, the company complies with the Family and Medical Leave Act and offers paid maternity and paternity leave. Beehive also pays for employee memberships to a baby-, house- and pet-sitting service, and arranges for dry cleaning and car detailing services to be delivered at the office.
Beehive relocated to Bandana Square in December. The new 5,200 square-foot headquarters gave the company room to introduce its “BE FIT” wellness program, which includes on-site yogalates classes, an urban walking club, health club membership discounts and monthly wellness seminars and workshops. The new office also includes a “Sanctuary” (inspired by working mothers), a workstation designed to keep visiting children entertained and an employee-donated library of novels and children’s books.
